About Us

Born in Naples and raised in London.

Our founders Emanuele and Melo came from Italy with the dream of building a truly authentic Neapolitan Pizzeria in the heart of the city. When they started making close to 1000 pizzas per day, they realised the appetite for Italy’s greatest export was just as great in London as back home in Napoli.

 10 years on and a lot of Pizza’s later, the dream, Cinquecento was born. Using only the freshest D.O.P ingredients and Nonna’s secret recipe dough, we are proud to be serving London’s best pizza!

The doors of our flagship restaurant, Cale St, opened in December 2019 and the rest they say, is history.

Our dough is fermented for 48 hours and is 67% of hydration, this makes our product a light and fluffy treat that will be very easy to digest.

Our ingredients are 100% Italian and are all DOP ( Denomination Protected Origin. The Tomato sauce we use is San Marzano and grows only in the volcanic area of Campania, producing a sweet taste without any other seasoning added.

The restaurant

We opened our first restauran in the heart of Kensington and Chelsea in 2019, and since then we have continued to grow across Central London.

Each of our restaurants is a homage to an Italian town and  the interiors of Cinquecento Pizzeria have a distinctly Nonna-like vibe. Walls are adorned with fruit-patterned plates, dried flowers and bunches of chilli. Lighting is provided by vintage-looking chandeliers and an open-flame oven.
